Apple will reveal its
much-anticipated iPhone 8 — if that is indeed what the Cupertino company
decides to call its latest flagship phone — on Sept. 12.
Held at the Steve Jobs Theater, part
of the new Apple Park campus which opened in April, the event will unveil the
company’s latest line of iPhones. Last year, that consisted of two models: the
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7S.
iPhone 7 sales led to an all-time
record quarter for Apple earlier this year. In its first fiscal quarter of
2017, Apple reported revenue of $78.4 billion helped along by record-breaking
iPhones sales over last year’s holiday season.
Apple will be trying to outdo last
year’s sales with the iPhone 8, which is expected to have a large OLED display
and wireless charging capabilities. It is thought at least one version of the
popular phone will cost $1,000 or more due to its size and features.
